Mac Goolsbee and wife Sue opened Goolsbee Tire and Service with a small full service gas station in 1954. Their hard work and dedication set the foundation for a fourth generation family owned and operated company. The couple believed that worthwhile work was worth doing right and anything worth doing right was worth doing right all of the time. This work ethic was passed along throughout generations of family and employees. Many employees have been with Goolsbee for over 20 years, and are highly experienced in trade and customer service. The foundation Mac and Sue laid has contributed to 70 years of successful business in East Texas. Goolsbee's commercial center houses the only retread facility in Tyler, TX which provides commercial and agricultural tires and services to owner operators and commercial fleets onsite and over the road. Our retail center offers many tire brands to the independent operator and commerical fleets with various mechanical services including oil, lube, and alignments. Additionally, onsite we operate a 10,000 square foot warehouse that supplies used tires, by the container load, to independently owned tire stores in three states. Goolsbee is inovative and offers many automated services and discounts for the consumer, and we are honored to be a part of the East Texas community!
